Artist's Comments
This assignment for drawing class was a self-portrait done in the style of an artist whose name escapes me. I was supposed to have a foreground, middleground and background, the background being some kind of pattern that is supposed to, in part, touch or go onto the subject. I decided to give myself wings and use tribal-esque tattoos as the pattern. The composition didn't quite work out as I wished, but the effect is still conveyed.
